Tehran, Iran – A high-level diplomatic meeting between Iranian officials and Russian President Vladimir Putin has underscored a deepening strategic partnership between the two nations, with discussions spanning over 90 minutes and encompassing critical regional conflicts and perceived external aggressions.
Extensive Deliberations on Bilateral and Regional Issues
Following a productive engagement with President Putin, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, highlighted the substantial grounds for enhanced cooperation between Tehran and Moscow. The discussions, which reportedly lasted for more than an hour and a half, covered a comprehensive agenda including bilateral relations, pressing regional matters, and concerns regarding the actions of the United States and Israel.
Reinforcing Strategic Partnership
During the meeting, Araghchi conveyed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s firm resolve to continue and strengthen its strategic relationship and partnership with Russia under the evolving global circumstances. The Iranian diplomat noted that the discussions yielded several promising ideas for inter-state collaboration.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also shared that President Putin acknowledged and commended the resilience of the Iranian people in the face of external pressures, noting that the world is observing and appreciating Iran’s steadfastness. Putin reportedly lauded Iran’s successes in what he described as an unequal and unjust conflict.

Araghchi expressed gratitude for the supportive positions adopted by their Russian counterparts throughout recent regional developments. He reiterated Iran’s commitment to a robust strategic alliance with Russia, emphasizing the readiness to advance this partnership in the current geopolitical landscape.
