Parliamentary Security Chief Affirms Diplomacy as a Tool for National Interests
Shahrud, Iran – The head of the Parliamentary Security Committee has underscored that diplomatic efforts are intrinsically linked to serving the nation’s paramount interests, emphasizing a unified national approach in various arenas.
Unified Front for National Victory
“The diplomatic team in the negotiation arena, the people on the streets, and the valiant fighters on the battlefield are all united and in harmony, working in their respective capacities towards ultimate victory and the subjugation of the enemy,” stated Ahmad Ajam, a representative for Shahrud and Miyami in the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
Negotiations with Caution and Conditions
Ajam acknowledged the undeniable importance of negotiation while highlighting the confirmed history of the adversary’s breach of commitments. “Negotiation is unavoidable, but it is contingent on the opportune time, place, and adherence to obligations with ten specific conditions,” he elaborated. He further explained that negotiations proceed incrementally to achieve the defined objectives in safeguarding national interests. “We negotiate while maintaining preparedness because we do not trust the opposing party,” Ajam added.
Leveraging National Resilience and Public Awareness
The parliamentarian pointed to the recurring pattern of aggression and dominance displayed by adversaries, noting that even with a clear understanding of Iran’s successes, the nation employs a soft power approach to compel the enemy’s surrender. “The public’s awareness, which constitutes our soft power, alongside the diplomatic team’s efforts, can steer negotiations towards realizing Iran’s aspirations,” he stated.
Ajam emphasized that the conscious and discerning participation of the people is a significant factor in generating soft power and bolstering the Islamic Republic of Iran’s resilience, thereby supporting its armed forces. He asserted that the people’s “heroic presence” has left adversaries in awe.
Enduring Commitment to Revolutionary Ideals
“The people of Iran have consistently been present and remain so in various scenes defending the ideals of the Islamic Revolution,” Ajam remarked. “This time, however, their presence is a different demonstration compared to the past 47 years since the Revolution’s victory, bringing honor, authority, stability, and pride to the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Concluding his remarks, Ajam, referencing the words of a “martyred Imam,” expressed gratitude for the people’s magnificent participation and stressed the significance of genuine public mobilization and power generation. He also called for media cooperation in reflecting this epic presence.
