Parliamentary Security Chief: Diplomacy Anchored in National Interests Amidst Unwavering National Unity
Tehran, Iran – The top security official in the Iranian Parliament has emphasized that all diplomatic endeavors are firmly rooted in and driven by the nation’s core interests. Speaking on Saturday, Ahmad Ajam, the representative for Shahroud and Miami and Head of the Parliament’s Security Committee, articulated a strategy where diplomatic negotiations, public support, and military readiness operate in unison towards achieving ultimate victory and compelling adversary concessions.
A Unified Front for National Objectives
Ajam highlighted a cohesive national effort, stating, “The diplomacy team at the negotiation table, the people in the streets, and the valiant fighters on the battlefield are all unified and in accord, working in their respective arenas to achieve final victory and the enemy’s surrender.” This statement underscores a perception of nationwide solidarity behind the government’s objectives.
Strategic Negotiation: A Matter of Timing and Trust
The parliamentary official acknowledged the undeniable importance of negotiation but stressed that such talks are contingent upon the opportune moment, suitable venue, and strict adherence to ten key conditions. “Negotiation is inevitable, but it is dependent on the requirements of time, place, and commitment to implementing obligations under specific terms,” Ajam explained. He further elaborated that negotiations proceed on a step-by-step basis, aimed at realizing clearly defined goals for safeguarding national interests. Crucially, Iran maintains readiness for dialogue while simultaneously exercising caution due to a lack of trust in opposing parties.
Leveraging National Strength for Diplomatic Success
Ajam pointed to the recurrent patterns of aggression and broken promises by adversaries. He asserted that Iran, with its proven success, combats these tendencies through “soft power,” aiming for the capitulation of its opponents. “The people’s vigilance – their soft power – alongside the diplomatic team’s efforts – the manifestation of this power – can steer negotiations towards fulfilling Iran’s aspirations,” he stated.
The representative underscored the significance of the public’s conscious and insightful participation as a source of soft power, bolstering the Islamic Republic of Iran’s resilience and supporting its armed forces. He noted that the “heroic presence of the people on the scene has stunned the enemies.”
A Legacy of Resilience and National Pride
Ajam commended the Iranian people for their consistent dedication to the Revolution’s ideals across various junctures. He described the current national engagement as a distinct and powerful demonstration, one that has brought pride, authority, and steadfastness to the Islamic Republic of Iran, setting it apart from the past 47 years.
Concluding his remarks, Ajam expressed gratitude for the people’s magnificent display of commitment, referencing a foundational principle of the Revolution. He emphasized the critical role of genuine public motivation and power generation, calling for media support in reflecting this national triumph.
